These sets of tools are for producing shaped edges or profiles on a stone slab. They can be used on any automatic Computerised Numerical Control (CNC) machine that accepts unguided tools mounted onto profile wheel holders or cones. The tools are produced by Diamut who work closely with Intermac to combine technical excellence and the development of cutting-edge tools for the very best results.
Every tool that Diamut manufacture undergoes a special diamond dressing process. The wheels are instantly effective, producing great results from the first meters and throughout the long lifespan of the tools. The diamond grinding tools are also subjected to a balance check. They are exposed to high rotation speeds and rigorously tested to remove any potential imbalance resulting in the wheel not cutting the shape required.
These sets feature Diamut's HYS (Hyper Speed Line). This new technology is born of extensive research and testing resulting in the perfect diamond and metal combination. If you have used tools from Diamut previously, you may have used the Original Premium Line (OPL) line - but now the HYS line offer feed rates twice as fast as the OPL technology.
This set is composed of four continuous rim metal grinding positions (Diamond HYS) with slots to channel water and remove stock, resulting in the fast grinding of granite, quartz and hard stone. The final diamond position is a grit 800 and prepares the edge for polishing.
There are three different options of polishing tools after the diamonds. The Flash HYS regular resin wheels, that are ready to use and provide great results, or in place of these, either the Granite or Synt (for quartz) compound wheels that require bedding in. See the articles below for more information.
- Pos 1-4: Diamond HYS - Sintered diamond for grinding
- Pos 5-7: Flash HYS - Resin bonded diamond for polishing
- Pos 5-6: Granite - Compound for polishing
- Pos 5-6: Synt - Compound for polishing
Flash HYS Pos 7 Black - can also be used as a final position for all materials after the Granite and Synt compound tools.
The table below shows the recommended tool sequences for different materials and displays our product code for each position.
