Diamond Fix K+K is a two-part chemical anchor from General which is suitable for fixing static loads in general building materials. It is a cartridge based resin and is designed for natural and artificial stones and many other materials including solid and hollow bricks, concrete, cement, sandstone, facing bricks and wood.
Diamond Fix is a penetrating resin and therefore fills vacuums in the structure of the material which improves the integral strength of the block around the mechanical fixing. This makes it suitable for heavy loads. The advantage of this is evident in a cross-section of the material where the resin reaches outside of the bushes of a fixing and fills the vacuum zones, ensuring a reliable and economical fastening.
The dark area shows the strengthening of the material Diamond Fix is a stable chemical product, it will not expand and cause tension in the base material. To ensure a strong bond, the hole must be an appropriate depth for the bar being secured and the hole must be clean before the resin is applied. The table below shows the recommended guidelines.

A typical curing time at room temperature is 5 minutes and suitable for load application after 60 minutes. However this can alter depending on temperature and size of the hole. This product is tested to the standards laid out by The European Organisation for Technical Approvals, ETAG 001 scheme 5.2 but on-site tests should always be carried out to ensure the strength of fixings. This product is styrene free.
