Gison GPW 215C & 216C Air Powered Stone Cutters

The Gison GPW-215C is a wet air-fed 125mm Stone Cutter and the GPW-216C is its 180mm big brother. They are for cutting any type of stone material, with maximum disc diameters of 125mm and 180mm respectively. The machines are both air fed and offer many user benefits.

The 125mm machine operates at 2.5m/s2, which allows the operator to use this machine up to 8 hours with regards to current HAV guidelines (Jan 2018). The 180mm machine operates at 3.2m/s2, a low level for a stone cutting machine of this power and size.

The machine is for use with a water-feed, which helps to reduce the amount of dust when cutting and extends the life of the diamond cutting tools being used. The water hose connection is also located at the base of the machine to keep any connections out of the way of the operator.

This range of machines feature a paddle on/off switch that needs to be depressed and held for the machine to operate. This is an added safety feature if the machine is dropped the blade does not continue spinning. Due to the air powered nature of these tools, they are composed of mechanical parts and contain suffer from electrical faults like electric power tools. If correctly maintained, this makes them considerably more durable and less consumable than electric tools. In addition, these pneumatic tools do not pose an electrical hazard to manage.

Lightweight and Powerful

The smaller machine weighs 2.02kg and the larger 3.18kg. Both are much lighter than their electrical counterparts making the machine more comfortable to use for extended periods and easier to maneuver.

The maximum power output of the of the 125mm machine is 0.61HP (Horse Power) and a value of 0.93HP for the 180mm machine, the highest powered air machines available to stoneworkers.
