Perfector Technology is the name given to a position in an edge polishing set position produced by Marmoelettromeccanica (MEM). It is a correcting tool that is designed to remove lining imperfections on straight edges that can appear during CNC fabrication after the use of metal positions.
The Perfector tool is recommended for difficult to polish materials or where a lining is occurring. The Perfector is available as an additional position after Pos 5 of the MEM Long Life tools. They can be used on all types of stone.
They are for use on CNC machines that have a programmable oscillation function on the Z axis, the period of oscillation has to be very short. Please be aware that not every machine has this ability. The tool is used gently on the edge, and must be in constant contact with the stone to remove the lining. The benefit of running this tool is that it will remove any imperfections on stone being worked that are left behind by metal positions.
Perfector tools are available in three different diameter sizes: 20mm, 40mm and 60mm and a number of different heights to match the slab thickness being processed. They are available with different size bore holes and some with 1/2" GAS Male fittings.
