How to Use This Table to Find the Optimum RPM Speed for your Bridge Saw Blade

Follow the two steps below to find the optimum spindle speed in Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) for the bridge saw blade diameter size and material you are cutting.

Step 1

First, you need to calculate the desired tip speed for the material you are cutting. The tip speed is a measurement of the speed at which a point on the circumference of the blade is spinning. In this case, we are setting the speed at which the diamond segment is impacting the stone. It is measured in meters per second (m/sec).

Step 2

Once you know the tip speed, find the value in the first row. Then, look down until you see the diameter of the bridge saw blade you need to use. Then look to the left of that line and you will see the Spindle Speed or Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) that the blade needs to be set at for the size and material.
